The only stable Windows I have had is Windows 3.1. All the rest have had multiple flaws. Including updates that made the system unusable.

I went for 3.11. I had a small network in the house and my shop.

It would be nice if Microsoft would create a Windows for old people that was as reliable as a fork and knife.
JJK
If only Windows was that reliable in general.

Do these drivers have alnico magnets? What restoration work should I do on these speakers?
If everything works then just listen for a while. You may not need any restoration.

Welcome to the forum! The Heresy will be better for a lot of music, but the 8000f will have better bass. Wait. @Tom05 just said that.

Good day,
I am looking at some speakers for sale with the following information….just trying to make sure they are legit, and not counterfeit Klipsch speakers. Can anyone provide any insight?
Here are the numbers provided:
P/N: 09000431121
QRT OAK OIL
S/N: 108944 & 10945
W/O: 22760 (this may be “22/6U” it’s hard to read on the label.)
the label says manufactured by Klipsch and associates
P.O. Box 688
Hope, Arkansas 71801
Anything special I should be considering or aware of with these speakers? Appreciate all of your collective wisdom!
Pics? I mean it seems to be Quartets. Pics would help. Those of us that have owned them will help.

Quick questions, I've got a pair of '82 Cornwalls with K-77-m tweeters, and was wondering if either the CT120 or DE-120 are straight drop ins?
Having experience with both, was there one you preferred more, or do they have any major differences?
Thanks,
Duncan
The CT120 is meant as a direct replacement for the k-77-m.

Ordered one off eBay but didn’t realize there were 2 different sizes for the KG line. The one I ordered is much smaller. It was easy to remove it simply popped out with a small flathead screwdriver. I’ve attached pics of the old one and the new, incorrect badge.
edit:
I believe the smaller one was off a KG2.2 and I need the one off the KG4.5
Will they take it back?

Have a pair of Klipsch Heresy II new since '96-'98, are in great shape and sound good, great. I have just found a site, Crites Speakers, and am looking at the Crites crossovers for same. What can be expected for the three types of crossovers Bronze, silver and gold. What difference do the Capacitor's inductors do for each, What sort of improvement can one expect for these crossovers. Also the new tweeters, Woofers etc.
If you’re wanting to replace drivers you should consider the upgrade kit from Klipsch. I don’t recall the price.

I vote for the 8000f since you have the big center. I have the series one 8000f and 504.

eBay might be best bet. As for getting the old one off… just pick at it. Shouldn’t take much. Pics?

Okay, I might have exaggerated: his place might not be exactly in the middle of the farm 🧐. It is out there and it's beautiful.
Also, what does NEED have to do with what we have? lol
Maybe I need a single stack for an LCR setup......I’d be ok with a third LSI right now.

How many sets are you getting?
Nickyboy has a beautiful place in the middle of a corn farm 10 miles from his neighbors and the closest town is days away lol.I really only need a pair of bass bins. Nickyboy wins for distance. My neighbors are close to half a mile.
