  1. Hey, I havnt talked to you online lately but I downloded that Cruisen song Massive Tone and its really messing with my head. Its in another freakin launguage! Its annoying yet addicting. I've probably listened to it like 10 times and I think I should delete it, hit my head on a rock, get amnesia and forget all about it. Next thing you know i'm going to be learning german and rapping it. This download is a curse!! ahhhh! I'm going to go listen to some classical music. Maybe that will help.
  2. yup. that pretty much covers it. Creative holds most of the market, but hasn't been impressing me lately. Maybe its time to switch. I do love the EAX voice Morphing though.
  3. thanks for the replies. Now i just need $$$$$$$$$$$.
  4. Boughten?? Man ProDJ you need to go to bed. sleep. Anyway, my online buying experiences have been mostly excelent. Just watch out for restocking fees.
  5. Are you really considering the rf-3s???? Personally I think almost any synergy to reference upgrade is worth it. BUt you might want to save up for 5s or 7s like you've been planing. Or just keep your sf-2s and buy me a pair of rf-3s.
  6. Are these MP3s and Games designed for 5.1? I could never get my sound blaster live 5.1 past 4.0 analog. Never found a 1/8 inch to RCA digital adapter to run to my reciever. I gave up, bought a DVD player and settled for 4.0. oh well. Since your center works in the test, I would try a DVD on your promedias and see if the center works then. I hope you can get it working, I know how annoying this kind of thing can be.
  7. I'm thinking RSW-12, good for both music and movies. Pretty too.
  8. Well, i'm thinkin either rb-5 or rf-3. We'll see. ANyway, I wuz comparing prices and came across this: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/hypaudio/rf3.html The wierd thing is it says rf-3 but has description for rb-5. Not sure which it is. Wierd eh?

  10. ouch! that alot of $$$$. I wuz thinkin to wait for my rb-5s of rf-3s for those to come out. If i undersand right it will be $2000 for a pair of the mains. WOW. Must sound nice though.
  11. That would be cool. Or you could just sell your car, buy a bike and a pair of Klipschorns.
  12. The RC-7 is a great center. If you really like it that much I would go for it. It should sound fine w/ the rb-5s.
  13. nice. Thats gonna sound great. Lucky. I'm saving 4 some rb-5s or rf-3s. yup.
  14. Well, id look at it this way. Say this whole incident had never happened: you would be right where you are now, with beutiful Rf-3s (i want a pair). But say you had bought them, you could be very happy with your new speakers, but probably not. I mean theres always the after thought of what could you have done. You will always have afterthoughts, but in this case I think you made the right descision. Its just to risky, you know they guy had to be lying. I would just sit back, not worry about it and enjoy your rf-3s.
  15. The quintets are also designed primarily for movies. I think they make great movie speakers, just not that good for music. If your only going to use em for movies, good buy. But if you listen to alot of music too you want to to synergy.
  16. Wow, you should go to sleep. I had a buzz to, but it was really more of a humm. I found it to be coming from my computer. (computer on buzzz), (computer off no buzzz) (lots of enthusiastic applause).
  17. RGB is subbosedly better than the other forms of video. It lead in quality followed by component and S-video. If it is possible for you to run GRB, you should.
  18. You know, when it comes to it, it is really all about the music. I mean the entire point of all this equipment is to be transparent as possible. I mean all this fancy stuff to make the recording sound just like the recording. The irony is that this can never be really be achieved. Any piece of equipment, speakers, amps, cd players even cables have some coloration on the music. I once read a description of this phenomina: Picture yourself at the grand canyon. You can see all the detail and immensity of the canyon perfectly. Now Imagine your self looking at the same sight only through a window. This window is composed of many layers of glass, each layer distorting the view in some way. One view changes the color, another puts it out of focus and so on. Each of the panes is representative of a different part of the music system: wires, amps, players and such. The entire point of all these components is to restore the image of the canyon to its full potential. Speaking of music I need to buy some. Bye.
  19. Wow, K horns and 4 chorus. nice. welcome to the forum.
  20. Maybe one of us, Maybe the Ears should give klipsch a call and tell the rest of us what the dealio is. I really really really reallly really want to know. If those bookshelfs are not to expensive, I might look at them instead of RB-3s or 5s.
  21. Ok, yeah technics makes some great DJ turntables, but this guy isn't a DJ. And the rest of their stuff isnt to impressive either.
  22. ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Isn't that kind of hard to tell, considering there is no info out on the THX system. There is no info out right? You're just worried about your mighy RSW-15 being dethrowned. I wouldn't worry about it. And as far as looks go, the RSW takes it.
  23. I'm kind of conflicted here. Normallly i'd say go the cheaper one if you really don't listen to that many records. But I really don't like technics. For you, it really dosn't seem worth it to spend over $400 on the player. Is there something in the middle?
