  1. off the topic... Are you in a CB radio or previously on the am radio? Thanks. CCG
  2. Listening on this through 6c33c-b SE amp. Sounds amazing! There are lots of music on Spotify that I hear is not hi-rez'd.. I prefer listening more to the non re-master as long as the needle drop is clean or should I say recorded right even there's clicks and pops.😺
  3. That's very nice deck too. Its a bit tricky to work on the transport and change belts. But can be done the right way.
  4. Nice looking deck. What is the feature you like about Teac V 6030 S? Is there anyway you can post a close-up on the panel? I never had one before.. Basically all the decks posted are superb! I also have a denon drm-800a. It sounds excellent too. I just havent had the chance to get around it much. Thanks CCG..
  5. Going to Tokyo in November. Visit all the classic hi-fi of the 80's-90's and new ones. Then on our way to the Food Mecca.
  6. welcome and very nice speakers.
  7. Excellent looking setup!. That's basically what I'm doing too. This is to my dedicated recording setup. I have an 80's sony integrated amp with 2 phonos and 3 decks selector. That amp is dying soon. Not the best sounding amp but one heck of a recording amp. I'm definitely gonna miss it. I also have a dynamic expander that I will add in the setup. I like the dbx 200 more because its closer to the silverface. I also have the 400 but It was throwing me off a bit when I tested it due to the light indicators. the RCA integration wont work if it wasn't powered on. Maybe I was doing something not right...? Thank you for the follow-up.
  8. Okay I go it. I'll see if I can find others to build me a test unit instead. I work 2 jobs and not sure if I have time to do this myself. Thank you for the generous information. I appreciate it. CCG
  9. A lot of strong points between high dollar equipment to medium. I cant simply compare the two. If some people paid that kind of money for an Ongaku amp, I cannot question him. Obviously most people knows what he's doing to earn that kind of money. If the amp will please him and give him a peace of mind, I can almost imagine the kind of money he will be making in the future. Same thing with mids and DiY. If youre happy and works for you, that's all that matters. At the end of the day you'll still have the pleasure of moving forward. Enjoy life, Not end your life. 😊
  10. Hi and thank you for the follow-up. Did I understand the explanation saying instead of measuring it on full and powering it on 12.6 V / 3.2A, external powering, they use 6.3 volts instead and measuring it half of the current. So instead of the result being 230ma (new), youre just targeting 115-120... Is that correct? Thank you for the follow-up.
  11. On your 400 passive router, go you have to run a jumper in the noise reduction in/out to bypass if not using? Thanks CCG
  12. This new amp just came in yesterday and currently on a road test.. 15 watt 6C33C-B integrated amp in SE mode. Boy this thing runs hot and I have to leave the fan on all the time.
  13. Okay sounds great. And thank you o much for trying. So does the tester requires a large amount of power (bigger transformer to light these tubes up? Thank you again, CCG

    Horology...

Love the 70's speed timers, pogues and bullheads. Impossible for me to find a genuine.
  15. Yes and thank you for the info. Yes it is a push pull. "Initially" It is very important for me to have the tube balanced well first. if not, it will eat the tube by itself. I was able to prolong the tube life of my other amps with just this simple method. In this particular 6c33c-b, even the ones that came in the same batch, they are measuring all over the place. lets say in a 20 piece you can probably fetch a good match within 3 to 4 tubes (6 to 8 total). The way how these tubes are constructed.. think of the early 2000 sovteks. Its like that kind of quality. But if you can get a good match. its the "Queen Bee." Bottom line I need a tester. It doesnt have to be fancy as long as I can check atleast the ma, shorts, etc... Thanks CCG
  16. I had a talk with him a while back. He's from canada and getting supplies from china per order. To make it short, the deal is, its a brand new or newly assembled, 48 business days to get here, no return even if DOA. Yes that's very clear and exactly what I was told. Its like I gave him the money for a new product, he pockets it and whatever I get, that's what I get. Bottom line is, I still need a tester. I cannot rely on matched tubes. I have so much experience encountering surprises even from some suppose to be reputable US dealers.
  17. Yes I'm interested and thank you. Just keep in mind my purpose is for personal use only (not a professional). I just need to know if the tubes has the same reading as the other one like within 10% match so I can plug both tubes balanced in per channel. Please let me know and thanks, CCG
  18. No, I don't know any 6c33c-b tube tester brand name ..If that's what your'e asking...?
