  1. I would be adding onto the 3802. I just want something that will power my subs only. Then maybe later on I can find something to run my mids and highs. Any suggestions?
  2. Hey all! I am looking into getting an AMP for my system. Ihave no idea on this one. I have never looked into AMPs. Does anyone have a good suggestion on one for oh, 200-300? Does anyone know where I can get a decent AMP for the $? Again, I am at a loss when it comes to AMPS, so someone please help! Thanks RJB
  3. Hey all, Thanks for all the advice about installing the speaker wire. Here is a little more info, but all of my questions have pretty much been answered. I bought a slab house with an attic which I can access from inside the house. I plan on making a path over to the interior wall where I will be installing the cable at. Do they insulate the inside walls? Are there fire stops on the inside walls? I will then route the speaker wire to where I will be installing the rear speakers. How high and at what position should I place the rear speakers? Should I put them in back or out to the side of the listening area? I guess that is basically the only questions that I have. Thanks again for all the advice. RJB
  4. I don't know what singer you are talking about, but Ally mcBeal is a HOTTIE!
  5. Finally..SNOW! It is about damn time. I wish I lived somewhere where it snowed all the time. Now it really feels like Christmas time.
  6. Another really good easy listening Christmas CD is Mainhiem Steemroller. Very nice and relaxing. I really enjoy their music. RJB
  7. ... I am 8 feet away from the speakers. ... there is dining room behind my head (wall, nothing, padding from listening chair, etc.) ... I sit slumping on the couch (up, up and somewhat forward, reclined, etc.) ... I am always straight, and sometimes intoxicated (somewhat intoxicated, stoned, straight, blasted)
  8. Write a check and date it Jan 5th, 2003
  9. PHIPS, He said he has tried there. He was looking for more recommendations. Any other suggestions for him? RJB
  10. Like I said earlier, I was not knocking the SVS subs. Sorry if I offended anyone, but I just don't like them as much as velodyne. I have heard both and like the velodyne better. SVS is great, but I prefer velodyne. I was not saying which is better...it is just a personal preference. RJB
  11. SWEET! Look forward to seeing them. Congrats again. RJB
  12. Dale, Why not? I think XP is a great product. In fact, I have been running it for over a year now and I have never had a problem with it. Call it luck or whatever, but I think the OS is great. I know a lot of people that don't like it just because it is in a little different format than the typical windows systems, but that is what makes XP unique. It is compatible with any hardware you have in your machine. Granted, some of the old software may not run on it, but that is how MS makes money. Out with the old and in with the new. I was a computer major in college and work in the computer industry and XP is by far the best OS out there right now. A lot of campanies aren't upgrading yet, because it is so expensive, but you wait...they will all get there. Oh course by then MS withhave something even better than XP out, but I think that is a couple years down the road. Try to learn all the different features of XP and try different hardware with it. I haven't seen anything that hasn't been compatible yet. Even most printers are compatible. My hat is off to MS on this OS. That is till I find something seriously wrong with it. Just give it a chance and find out all the different features. XP has a lot to offer. RJB
  13. Some of the smaller, but more high end models of velodyne subs are quite a bit better than SVS. I am not knocking SVS by any means. I am sure they are good, but I just do not like the tall thing in the corner. If you are looking for a sub that can really pound, then I would choose velodyne. That is just my opinion. That is what I would do anyway. I am sure SVS is a great sub, but I just don't like the way they are designed. Velodyne is my preferred choice. You have to make your own decision though. OK? Good luck and happy hunting. RJB
  14. How is the sounds witht he carpet in there? Is it all you wanted it to be? The setup looks very nice. I wish I had a dedicated room just for my HT! Where are your rears at? Can you post a pic or 2 of them? Looks great though! Congrats! RJB
  15. I think you would be happy with that upgrade. You could also use the RS-3's as your rears, but I would go with the RC-7 center channel. That would give you the timber matching that you are looking for. That would be a very nice set-up! I only wish I could afford something like that! Good luck! RJB
  16. Boa, You need some pics on your sight! Nice system, but I can not visualize the setup. Just a thought... RJB
  17. Shoe, Yeah if that is your bike that looks very sweet!
  18. Nice...I am quite jealous! Wanna trade? J/K RJB
  19. I had the same problem and I simply went to my local klipsch dealer and her recommended something for me. The tilt isn't very great, but I bet it is at least 45 degrees. So it works for me, but I don't know how much tilt you are looking for. I have checked out many sites and evern email klipsch, but haven't really found anything but at the klipsch dealer. Try there. RJB
  20. Shoe, Trade you systems! I agree with Drake. A couple people have recently upgraded. I would talk to them about it. RJB
  21. Congrats on the HT! Where do you have your projector at? Is it hanging from the ceiling? I didn't notice it on your site. Also are you going to get some couches and what not? Just wondering what your plans are for the room. RJB
