  1. Nice price! I don't need anymore speakers in my house, but I'd have to buy these just to hear them at that price.
  2. Good for you Dean. I was worried you were going to get rid of it. Do you have anytime I can come by and give it a listen?

Thanks dodger. Speaking of those LaScalas, did you ever find the paper work for them?
  4. I think it would look better w/out the white cracked plastic piece on the front. I thought it was a piece of packaging stuck to it at first. I spy what looks like a Scott integrated in the background of the 2nd pic.
  5. Do you have any Bob James albums?
  6. I'll have to agree with DaddyDee on the GMX A-2.1. The very first thing I did after coming home from the Klipsch pilgrimage was to order a set.

  8. it's the one and only lyin' Ryan Inman.
  9. I know I shouldn't take the trolls bait, but... capacitive reactance, what exactly are you trying to prove by digging up posts over 2 years old? I knew when I sent my 1st 299 to Craig that he hadn't been doing rebuilds that long, he told me. He gives Mark Deneen credit for everything he knows about these amps. He made that very clear to me over the phone. I didn't care, he stands by his work and he NOW knows his sh!t. He has since rebuilt another 299B, 99D, and a 272 for me, all which sound great. He doesn't hide behind the computer and claim he's been doing this for 30+ years, like someone else I heard about. It's a shame we can't "See you later..." By the way Craig the 272 sounds sweet!! Thanks again!

  11. Hey dodger, did you ever find my paperwork on these La Scalas?
  12. Damn! I just glanced at that and saw the $1009 and thought it was an outright sale not an auction. I was about to plan a trip to NY.
  13. Dave, that's a good idea until an unscrupulous "renter" borrows it indefinately. wrench-peddler, they'll be back, they always come back. "'nother quaalude and they'll love us again."
  14. What the hell are you talking about? Between this and the Seven Beauties reference, I'm lost...
  15. A friend of mine received a Fisher 800B from his local barber shop. The owner told him he paid $600 bucks or so for it, new back in '63. He shelved it back in the 80's, where it's sat in the back of the barber shop until my friend asked him about it. He gave it to him gratis with the only condition he use it and not sell it. Lucky duck! Anyway, my friend was wondering the wattage of this amp and if it's worth a restore. I told him it was, but he's a tight @ss and only wants to drop around $200 getting this thing singing again.
  16. Formica, $18 for your K22 is reasonable, but like you said; shipping from Canada would be silly. Gary, you have a PM.
  17. I just found out my center ch. Heresy has a blown woofer!! I think it was by old lady that blew it, too. Klipsch wants $80 for one and if I can't find one used that will be the route I go.
  18. Yeah, your crossovers sound awesome, Craig!! I've been laying low, hoping you and Dean would forget where he put them. Dean, those look great!
  19. Johnny TN, What's the problem w/ the seller "heathman"? I must've missed something. He had a 296 that only sold for $535 last month. It looked pretty clean, but I did notice it didn't have the brass knobs on it though, hmmm...
  20. ---------------- On 5/5/2004 10:48:11 AM sheltie dave wrote: "When I contacted parts, I found out there is no chance of getting any grilles, bare or covered, from Klipsch." ---------------- That's odd... I purchased a pair of black heresy grills about 3 mos. ago. Do they no longer sell them? Dave, I still have the brown grills I'll sell you.
  21. Dean, when do you need these crossovers back? If not soon, then I can just drop a check by your house if you'd like or I suppose I can Paypal.
  22. ---------------- On 4/28/2004 9:41:06 PM Ryan C Inman wrote: "If I could afford a well designed SET amplifier, I'd be using one. I may have to build one in the near future. -Ryan" ---------------- Then all you would need is a pair of Khorns.
