  1. Actually Heresy IIs are about $1,098.00 pair or so I believe. But these look like the earlier Heresy model.
  2. Thanks all I'll give them a call.
  3. Very nice, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14993&item=3092476807
  4. Check out his vintage '61 Klipschhorns as well. very nice. . . http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14993&item=3092476807
  5. No problem Moon. It just seemed like I walked into a dark room lit a match for light and found out that the funny smell was a natural gas leak and got blown right out on my rear. You are probably right . . . it was rather indelicate of me . . . I should have done a search and emailed those who owned them.
  6. Hmmmmm. . . Did not particularly want to start a war here. I read some of the HT postings and want to put together a heritage HT set-up. Most of the postings I read seemed to indicate use Klipsch subs for music and SVS subs for HT. Since I plan on putting together a HT set-up, seperate from my two other two-channel set-ups (both using Klipsch heritage speakers) I thought, not noting any other flaming occuring here about subwoofer products of differing brands, and the valid question of what works best with Klipsch heritage speakers in a HT set-up, I thought it might be OK to ask people I would consider the experts. Further, when I am done, I will have a total of 10 Klipsch speakers, so its not like I am an unloyal follower of the Klipsch brand. Further: 1) Aragon electronics are promoted on the Klipsch web-site, but I note no angst over people owning and discussing other electronics. 2) I posted to the Klispch HT forum. 3) I am new to HT and putting together a system based on systems and advice I see here on what works well with Klipsch speakers and what is the AVS Forum and HTF, and Home Theater Spot? - Lee
  7. What size powered SVS should I get, 25-31, 20-39 or 16-46? I mainly plan on using it for 95% HT and 5 music. I read the literature, but thought I would ask those that have really heard them. Thanks, - Lee
  8. I was left with a loss of words. It is shocking and leaves one shaken. Particularly appropriate was moving the statute from downtown to the site of the accident of Prometheus stealing fire from Gods and giving it to the humans. hubris . . . arrogance . . . stupidity - Lee
  9. I thought I would check on a rumour I heard about a possible cornwall re-issue. Answer is below. - Lee *********************************************** From: support Sent: Thursday, April 15, 2004 12:30 PM To: Lee K. Shannon Subject: RE: Cornwall Reissue? Hi Lee, At this time there is nothing in the works for the Cornwall reissue. What the future may bring is hard to say for sure. In the event this ever comes to reality, we will have details on our web site. ------------------------------------------------------------------ If you reply to this email, please include all original messages and replies.........Thank you. .....................
  10. On a more serious note. You will probably kick yourself if you let the deal pass you by. I was originally solid state and heresys, and due to looking at reviews here, I moved to tubes and cornwalls. I was so impressed with the larger sound, I am attempting to gather enough heritage models (hopefully Cornwalls) for a HT. From my tag line, it may look like I have enough, but I am unwilling to rob my office system of its Cornwalls. Cornwalls have a fanatical following, as noted in the other posts, you will be able to unload them later if you decide you want something different. - Lee
  11. Buy them. Buy them now . . . or let me. I need more, much more. :^) - Lee

  13. WOW ! This was also the first time I heard the HK AVR 7200 trashed. I conferred with someone who is knowlegeable, read the great postings here and just bought one from J&R World. I just got it and it is setting 3 feet behind me in my office. I also just ordered the Infocus x1 for $899 ($999 less $100.00 rebate). I just need to smuggle them and the cornwalls I have stored at a friends into my basement without my wife figuring it out. - Lee
  14. For your HT, how well do they work together? - Lee
  15. Hi, I just locally purchased a set of '69 vertical cornwalls and was planning on adding it to my 2 other sets ('79 and '84) for a HT set up. Does anyone have recemmendations for a AV receiver that works well with Cornwalls? Thanks, - Lee
  16. Hello, I just bought a pair of vertical Cornwall IIs ($485). I also have other two pairs of Cornwalls (my first were from Fini), I plan on setting up a home theater. Are there any sound differences that would cause placement preferences? Should the vertical Cornwall IIs be placed in the front? center? rear? Does anyone else have HT with 6 cornwalls? What are your experiences? Thanks - Lee
  17. First tube amp/preamp/integrated amp setup in the $300-to-400 range? I went with seperates to hit that price range on my first foray into tube-land. Two AV-8s tube 8 watt mono-amplifiers from Antique Sound Lab (new $120.00 each) direct from the company for a total of $240.00 and a vintage Dynakit PAS-2 pre-amp for $115.00 from a local vintage stereo shop (but you get one off Ebay as well). I use them to power a pair of Klipsch Cornwalls. I am very happy with the set-up. - Lee Home: Carver Amp Carver Tuner NAD pre-amp NAD tape deck NAD CD player. 18. I thought that "N" referred to 1975 See following: http://home.earthlink.net/~ivol/klipsch_cornwall/klipsch_date_codes.htm Do you have a different web page explaining date codes?
  19. He responded to me to let me know that they sold very quickly. - Lee
  20. Thanks, no need for pics, I think I'll hold off. I was thinking of upgrading solely for cosmetic reasons. I have a PAS-2 and a FM-3 with different covers/faceplates in a factory wood case. My PAS-2 works great and has been serviced. - Lee
  21. What condition is the Dynaco PAS-3 tube preamplifier in and what do you want for it? Do you have photos? - Lee
