  1. Good to hear. At 230k with a 98 Accord. Most repairs in the last 5 years have been due to rust. Oil pan, fuel tank, brake lines, exhaust. But did a 2nd timing belt earlier this year.
  2. Ginger or Mary Ann? Mary Ann

  4. Yes Dave, sorry about your dad. Thoughts & prayers are with you, your dad and your family. Congrats on your baby!
  5. Haunty Halloween! The big bad wolf is going to blow my house down...and hopefully all the leaves. 30 mph gusting to 50. Got some flurries that stuck to the cars and grass early morning. Day 18 with not a drop of beer or booze due to gout flare up in left big toe/foot. Needed to back off anyway. Thought I would feel more energized but fall allergy season is winning. Good luck with your surgical procedures tonight Tarheel. Anyone else going to a costume party? Is the cave going to crank some scary songs and noises tonight to frighten the trick or treater's Minermark? Got to go for #3. Tasting mighty fine this morning. Have a great Halloween and weekend!
  6. Welcome to the forum Deecher99. The seller/original poster hasn't been active on the forum since July 24th. They likely sold them on CL, where they said they would put them up for sale. I sent you a personal message. Check your notifications on the upper right hand corner of the screen.
  7. I had it's smaller brother G-5700 for over 30 years. Was only 75 WPC and I worked it hard in the 80's. Would go into protection mode when too hot. Mounted a small fan to the underside of the wood cabinet to assist with cooling. It was in need of a full restore so I bartered it for some of the cost of a complete restore of my 9090DB about a year ago. The restore ran $400, so an estimated $700 all-in for this G-8700, someone would have a beast on their hands.
  8. Stands look like they could be homemade.
  9. That is what Klipsch told me as well. Works great and a little goes a long way.
  10. We don't get any candy, we have never had someone show up, guess it's to far between houses, I wouldn't walk it either. Your right Christmas is sneaking up on us quickly. Same here, very rural. 14 years and not a single trick or treater, but that doesn't stop the Jehova's witnesses from coming up my driveway. Need to get a No Solicitors sign posted at the road. Still a good excuse to get a couple bags of Kit Kat's and Snickers.
  11. Congratulations...have fun! Sorry about your loss. It is very difficult losing a pet, a close loyal friend and part of the family. Good luck with your search.
  12. Much to learn you still have...my young padawan. This is just the beginning!

    NFL Time!

I think it is a crock of ! Lions kick a field goal form the 42 and miss, get called for a delay of game penalty and get another attempt at the field goal from just 5 yards more. !!! They had their try and missed. They didn't get the play off within the 30 minute play clock, but kicked the FG and missed! And they get another free attempt?? !!!! I suppose the rationale is that the play should have never took place due to delay of game. STUPID! However, the Falcons choked big time, giving up a 21-0 lead at half. I bet they are still ing all over the place.
  14. Terminator Skunk was still alive. Took three .22 rounds from about 35 feet. They play opossum too. Going to have nightmares that the hole is dug up and an 8 foot skunk on it's hind legs is going pay me a visit. Will check the burial site before bed time tonight. Don't like to kill wild animals, but when they cross the line and start destroying my stuff and are a threat to my dogs, it's time to go. Not like you can put a trapped skunk in the trunk and re-locate it.
  15. Good Saturday morning for you retirees. Have to deal with a (hopefully) dead trapped skunk. Why can't these varmints stay the hell away from my stuff. They have the whole world to explore, but no, they have to mess around and destroy my stuff.
  16. I can't tell the difference. Per the spec sheet, the K-62 is a 1.5 inch compression driver mated to a hybrid Tractrix horn. The K-61 is a phenolic diaphragm compression driver. They appear to be the same. I tried to copy & paste, but no luck. Here is the spec sheet link that you can download. http://www.klipsch.com/kp-320/details
  17. CECAA you are right on. Now have them hooked up to a Sansui 9090 DB @ 125W per ch. As expected much better, and they really kick in and shine at 10:30 - 11:00 on the V dial. Not used to going that high with Khorns, but that would be expected with these KP's measured @ 101 sensitivity and the khorns at 105. Kind of wishing I didn't sell an old Nak PA7A-II 225 x 2 amp this Spring. That may have been a sweet pairing, but getting too old and out of shape to be humping those big heavy amps around. Would prefer an integrated amp anyway. Have all Fall & Winter to look for something.
  18. Hooked them up to an old Kenwood KR-720 45W x 2 pup receiver, just because it was very accessible. Not impressed, but no worry, because that's been the case with several other speakers with that receiver. I think it is only good for low volume music, like in an office or as background tunes. I will hook it up to the 9090 either tonight or tomorrow, and I am quite confident it will be night & day difference.
  19. How about another pair of SF-2's with grills? I have a pair of SF-2's for sale in excellent condition. $250 + shipping.
  20. Picked these KP-320's up last night. Cleaning them up with cup # 3. Interesting design with 15" woofers and 12" down-firing passives installed on an angle in the bottom to reduce cabinet depth.
  21. Thanks. For now, a Sansui 9090DB, Probably pick up a durable amp that I can bring in & out. Just finished vacuuming the bottoms and a quick wipe down. They appear to be in excellent condition. What little info on the Klipsch site has a pic of the woofers with the white PWK logo on them. These don't, but I think it may have just been a year thing. I think everything is original. I will hook them up and A/B/C them with Khorns & Forte's, just for kicks.
  22. I tried to paste a pic. By grey, I mean the soft felt stuff. That is the color it comes in. The important part is felt, as opposed to that crushed foam stuff. It holds up well. Comes in 1/8" to 1/2" thickness, maybe more.
  23. They've been officially snarfed up. Successful mission. Just got back. Heavy mf's! Zeus, you are a stand-up forum brother, Thank You!! Also thanks to Opus, CECAA & Hugeroost for your input. Running out of party weather this year, but they will definitely see some good times in the future. Was all ready to get them Monday afternoon, but a lapse in the CL seller's response until this afternoon, and then again until this evening, delayed it.
  24. A large area rug with at least 1/2" thick grey felt pad underneath will help big time.
