tommyboy
We went from VHS, to DVD, and now to BD. What do you guy think is next? I couldn't imagine the sound and video getting much better than it is now. The only thing I could think of is maybe making the actual discs smaller in size? Like the size of a dollar coin maybe????? Groomlakearea51
How about a memory "stick" like a Lexar 4 gig. Small format; plugs into a USB port and has got to be faster than spinning a piece of plastic?

I have also heard that 1080p could be raised to double or triple the resolution . And we will all have chips enplanted in our bodies so the government knows exactly where we are and what we are doing . Or not .

Eskimo1
1440p is coming... But there's already a projector that's something along the lines of 4,000x2,000 pixels, and it upconverts 1080p. Course, it's around $75K if I remember right.

falcon20x
Televisions with harddrives and internet connection to download movies? I think Amy got it. The disc as we know it will disappear to be replaced by HD, jump drives and direct downloads to them or some kind of storage unit.
