jacksonbart
Never thought about until while listening to 88.5 WXPN on pluto the DJ mentioned that they were gonna listen to this new specific record, as if a record was a big deal. I guess it would make sense that they would just have all the music and comercials layed outon a giant hard drive. I guess they could also still use CDs. Just curious if anyone knows or is in the biz.
Hifi jim
There's an oldies station in the NYC area that a jockey still spins records for once a week... I think it might be WCBS 101.1 FM
Islander
KPLU, the jazz station in Tacoma, sometimes plays some old jazz that has enough surface noise to be 78s.
oldtimer
I would guess most university stations playing good jazz and classical still do. Being a night owl by nature, especially in my college days, I used to go down to the basement where the broadcast room was. The poor late night shifter got to put up with my interference and I got to read the AP machine as it printed out the news. Now I can use such anecdotes as an old man just rambling on... jamesV
A radio station in Chicago plays one album, both sides, on a certain day of the week. I forgot which station but will ask my gf in the morning. James
