Thaddeus Smith
I want to get a set in my garage to replace the crappy little sony satellites I currently have as well as add some "oopmh". The criteria: need to run well off my SS 100wpc receiver, don't have to be pretty but also don't want to be tempted to restore them, can't be of a model that will get me tarred and feathered by the masses for using in texas garage weather. under $100 the ideal cost ..suggestions? russ69
Any old pair of Klipsch beaters, just make sure the drivers are working. Thanx, Russ
Bill H.
Even though they are in the Garage, being exposed to TX elements...........Get either some Rock speakers, or the Plain outdoor type that hang under the Eves. then you can use them while in the Gargae or when your in the Yard .............. http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/outdoor-speaker/ http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/kho-7-specifications/
Thaddeus Smith
i thought about getting some of those crappy plywood speakers like lascalla or cornwall or something. figure a couple cans of flat black rustoleum would seal the wood fine. what you think? Rhadamanthus
I run a pair of 1982 Cornwall's, (with all new innards) a HSU sub, Mcintosh MC7270, Adcom GTP450 pre-amp and a Yamaha CD player in my garage. No complaints.
