hart11b
looking for some ideas for a RC-64 stand. I need it to be about 30" tall and also made of wood. Metal could be considered. Due to the huge size and weight of the 64, not all stands work and I don't buy junk...it must be quality. Any RC-64 owners out there have any ideas? Couldn't seem to find anything in my searches both online and this sight.
Moderators dtel Posted January 19, 2010 Moderators Share Posted January 19, 2010 I am not a RC 64 owner but I would look up some stands they sell and find something that would look good with the dimensions you need and build it yourself. Something a little wider where you could have the bottom open to use for a shelf which would also add weight to help stabilize it considering the hight. hart11b
http://www.racksandstands.com/Wood-Technology-CC-28-WT0257.html Think that would hold the RC-64 at 61 lbs?
nezff
just build you one.
wuzzzer
Made of solid hardwood, I would imagine that it would easily hold an RC-64.
Lylefan
Here is the one I use. I had some guy on ebay make it for me that does custom work. It is made out of maple.
hart11b
Here is the one I use. I had some guy on ebay make it for me that does custom work. It is made out of maple. I decided to build something pretty similar to yours. That way I can get the exact build quality and stain that I need. I'll post pics when it's done, but it will be several weeks until that happens. hart11b
I figured I would post the finished project now that I have the RC-64 in place. I ended up going with something similar to Lylefan, but just slightly different and made of oak. Sorry for the picture quality, I'm not a professional. wuzzzer
hart, Nice clean setup you have there. You gotta get some more room between those front speakers, though!
Yura
Why not make one yourself? I needed stands for my RB-5s and with about $35 in supplied made great looking stands with great stain and all. They will even cut the wood for you at Home Depot

Yura
Ah, good ! It always feels good to make a quality item yourself instead of paying for lesser quality. It looks good and can be a conversation piece
