This seller has had those pro LaScalas for sale for a few months now. Originally offered at $800 firm, now dropped to $700/best offer. I was initially very tempted to buy them and now I'm even more so. If I did get them they would replace my Fortes as front mains.

Couple things that worry me are their sheer size considering my small basement room and also with their age if any crossover components would need replacing, adding to their cost.

LaScalas are very nice, you would love them, they will make you want to switch out more speakers. [6]

The only reason I think there still for sale is the price is not on the low side, but it has some changes which always cost a little more.

Just a heads up, especially on split Pro La Scalas, they are sealed... So everything inside will look like brand new.

Mine did..and no need to replace anything! Works pretty darn good for 1986 speakers. LOL

A guy would still benefit from replacing the caps in the crossovers at that age , sealed in or not, right?
