The founder and owner posted a notice that the forum had been sold to 6 speed online- a competetor. He passed it off as an April fools joke but nobody was laughing. Everybody was really mad and it almost backfired as some people stayed away for a while. There were a lot of older retired guys who logged on every day and drove across states to hang out with other members. They did not think it was funny. The best one ever- 4 co workers bought group tickets to the Fla lottery each week- The most rabid loto player in the group had to go on a 5 day business trip returtning on tuesday. On sunday or monday they went out a bought a ticket with the previous weeks winning numbers. When he walked in they all acted busy and told him that nobody had time to check the numbers. Of course he already knew what they were. he looked at the numbers = paid no attention to the date- and started screaming- WE WON- WE WON. This went on with everybody celebrating and hugging each other- the he looked closer at the ticket and raelized he had been had. He only stayed mad fore 2 weeks. He would not speak to anyone who was involved for quite some time except for work related conversation.Gotta give the pranksters an A+ for that one. Superb!!!!! The air cooled examples are the real ones anyway IMHO. A lot of these are club racers s you really have to do your homework when shopping.
