fini
That's insane! My best deal was buying a box I thought was filled with empty CD cases for $5, and finding twenty pounds of vintage sterling silver plates.
Mallette
Latest estimate I heard was possible 200 million. Crikey... How 'bout the poor schnook who sold them???? The Ansel Adams estate is disputing the provenance. This will be very interesting indeed. Dave
Don Richard
Ansel Adam's family says that these are not his negatives. Those were destroyed in a fire at his Yosimite Park studio in 1937. They surmise that the negatives in question are another photographer's work taken from the same place as Adams photos were. They say that Norsigian, a construction worker, has been pestering them for years trying to validate the negatives as authentic.Adams' grandson says they are looking at suing him for using a copyrighted name for commercial purposes.
