joshuag
Hello Forum, Noob here.... I recently acquired two klipsch KLF-20's in black satin. They sound incredible but need more power. I really have no stereo/home audio knowledge except for the basics... What I need is some suggestions for my new receiver. My current set up, minus (receiver) is: R Channel = Klipsch KLF-20 C Channel = Polk Audio - Can't find a model number but it sounds terrific! L Channel = Klipsch KLF-20 LRC = Pioneer 5X7 S-HF21 RRC = Pioneer 5X7 S-HF21 Subwoofer = Klipsch KSW 200 I want to upgrade to 7.2, and I already have two more of those Pioneers to complete the speaker set but what I need is suggestions on the right receiver, amps (if needed) etc.... This will all accompany my Blue Ray Player with HDMI and my Direct TV HD Receiver also with HDMI plus my Wii (HD Component Cables) and PC connects (S-VIDEO or DVI). I do have a budget and it's not much. I'd prefer not to spend more than $500 dollars on the receiver. If anyone can point me in the right direction for this budget I would be forever in your debt. I know this is an active forum so I look forward to some ideas! Thanks forum! Joshua
wuzzzer
What are you using for a receiver right now? Receiver brands I liked the best are Marantz and harman/kardon.
gnatnoop
consider going over to the sound and vision site, they have reviewed some feature rich AVR's in your budget range. http://www.soundandvisionmag.com/
joshuag
Believe it or not, I'm using magnavox receiver. It doesn't do nearly what I'm capable of.
peshewah
500 bucks isn't bad. You might get an idea of what brand you want and go for a used receiver. Check out Audiogon. Good luck.

peshewah
Very good Willland. I agree. Marantz is top of the line( I think). It has all one would need plus pre-outs.

Groomlakearea51
Don't overlook the Onkyo TX-SR605's, 606's or 607's. Reasonably priced ~$500 or less; excellent quality, easy to set up and quite reliable. [H]
Guest davidness
Newegg.com is having a huge Yamaha sale this weekend. A RX-V1900 was $1299, today, $579. Lots of other models also significantly on sale. I have the Yamaha RX-Z7 and like a lot.
Islander
Lucky you! [Y][] However, I checked the site and it appears that they don't ship Yamaha gear to Canada...
