michael hurd
It's a bit of an obscure question, however I will be going to Vegas later on this year.... anyone with first hand knowledge of the best places to eat in Vegas?
Arky
Batista's Hole in the wall. Italian - excellent & cheap...all the free house wine you can drink. Bhenihana's - Las Vegas Hilton....neat experience. The steakhouse is good also. The Country Club - The Wynn....excellent steak but pricey. We eat there every year after golf. The World Buffet - forget which hotel (Rio?)... don't like buffet's. Make reservations to all but the buffet. TigerwoodKhorns lives in vegas, might talk to him. sputnik
My favorite - the Steakhouse on the top floor of the Binion's casino downtown (Fremont Street). Classic Vegas, good food, not too expensive, and fantastic views. http://www.binions.com/dining/steak_house.php
michael hurd
Thanks guys, the trip will be just one weekend, and already have tickets booked for Cirque Du Soleil "Ka". Possibly going to see the Blue Man Group as well, or do something else like the zip line at Bootleg Canyon. http://www.bcflightlines.com/
BigStewMan
I've heard good things about the China Grill--can be a bit pricey though.

michael hurd
Well thanks! Yes, driving to Minneapolis, MN and then flying out on the 22nd. So far, tickets are booked for Cirque du Soleil "Ka" , possibly either jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, or a 2 1/2 hour zipline adventure. Moderators dtel Posted April 17, 2011 Moderators Share Posted April 17, 2011 Just checking, if you were driving I was going to ask if you needed a place to take a break from driving. Have fun, I always wanted to jump out a plane, but the older I get the more I think maby not. [*-)]
Arky
The Country Club - The Wynn....excellent steak but pricey. We eat there every year after golf. Got back 3 weeks ago.The steak is great and the bone in pork chop is better. Tell Amy the bartender I said hey.

Arky
Battista's was good Excellent.feet hurtWhy? Walking the strip?
michael hurd
Yes, ended up walking up and down the strip with a bunch of other people that were stopping to snap pictures all the time. Walked for approximately 5 hours after eating @ Battista's before we ended up back at the hotel. The king sized suite with a massive tub was awesome to relax in after that. Cirque du Soleil 'Ka' this evening, Bootleg Canyon zipline tomorrow. What an adventure getting here though, up all day - 7 hours drive, 3 hours sleep, 2 hours in the airport, 3 hour + flight, then 1.5 hours before getting to the hotel finally. DrWho
lol, sounds like a normal vacation for you... How was the Cirque?
michael hurd
lol, sounds like a normal vacation for you... How was the Cirque? Pretty much hahahah..... but the Cirque Du Soleil 'Ka' show was so over the top mind blowing, I don't know how to even express it. All I can say is that if you have the chance and are in Vegas - GO SEE IT. I had high expectations, and I was blown away with the show, and I will go see it again in the future. The MGM grand hotel where it's a permanent theater is also over the top amazing, compared to the other casino hotels I was in down there during the trip.
