Mighty Favog
Wonder what it felt like to people on the bridge or the damage it sustained.
Rivernuggets
That is crazy! Not to be a downer, but 'survived' is too vague for me. It is amazing and wonderful he survived and I'm glad no one else was hurt. You can survive something and your quality of life is crap. Here are more details and backstory. jheis
Yeah, "a stay at home dad and sunday school teacher" - stopped a hour before the crash with a 15 year old girl, a can of beer and marijuana in the car. Good thing the cop had the girl's father come and pick her up or she'd be dead. Guy's a real shining example. James
Islander
You can survive something and your quality of life is crap. Yeah, that stupid "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." foolishness you hear so often really bugs me. Even a smart man like Nietzsche could say something stupid. Most of the time, the truth is more like "What doesn't kill you leaves you crippled..."This article mentions real world examples, instead of theoretical philosophical pontifications.http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/insight-therapy/201008/what-doesnt-kill-you-makes-you-weaker

Islander
Now that's the attitude and determination of a champion! And then there's the case of Colin Edwards, the Texas Tornado. Last month he was racing in the Catalan Grand Prix on his Tech 3 Yamaha 800cc GP bike when he fell and broke his right collarbone in five places. Colin had a steel plate with thirteen screws installed to secure the collarbone and raced nine days later at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, finishing third. After the race, he said he was able to do it because of his badass attitude, and who could argue with that?
