reynolr
Which would be better? 2 klipsxh sub 12's or 1 emotiva sub 12? For a 14x19 room. Mainly home theater use.
cornfedksboy
I can't speak to specifics, but I really enjoy my dual Klipsch RW-12ds in an 11 X 24 room. I'd put that up against Emotiva any day.
Ironsave
I can tell you from experience..... For music.... My Emotiva owns the Sub 12. For HT; it is close; but the Emotiva is cleaner. You are welcome to come by for a demo..... (If interested; PM me).

RW 12d is NOT a Sub 12...... (Reference versus Synergy, I believe). The Sub 12 is a very decent sub; but not in the same league as yours or mine........ (If I had 2 Ultra 12s, I would bet they hold their own against 2 RW12ds). We could always do a single sub shootout.... lol. [] My .02...... reynolr
Yes. It is the synergy. I know the emotiva is a better sub one on one. That's y I ask if two on one would favor the klipsch or emotiva. If I sell my klipsch I can get a single emotiva. Or I can keep the klipsch and get a 2nd.
Ironsave
2 Sub 12s would probably get more loud than one U12, but what do you prefer? Clean, tight, accurate bass (Emotiva U12 doing music) or loud, sometimes distorted bass (Sub 12 doing HT). I love bass, but I also like it porportional...... (Accuracy). If I turn up my sub, it can be overwhelming....... (It has some stones). Again... It is your ears.... (I say this a LOT). Good Luck.

One-to-one would be interesting, though I wouldn't put money on it. I was referring to two as I got mine for a total of $500.00, roughly the same as the Emo. Ironsave
[] Two Klipsch RSW-12 is better than one Emotiva Ultra-12. Just saying More volume? Perhaps.... Better? Sorry.... Maybe louder, but not better. [H] You are welcome to come by for a listen. BTW.... An Epik Empire (Or better yet Dual Empires) will stomp any sub spoken of in this thread. WeebMan
I bought a second sub-12 a few months ago. At first I stuck the second one over in the corner with the first one(only corner available) and it was an improvement but I was a bit dissapointed. After a while, I moved the second one over next to the couch right next to the listenning position. If you like alot of bass, this is the way to go. Not only did it fill the room much better, but the close proximity really rocks your seat. One day I will upgrade to something rediculous like the Epik Legends. But that will be in another house with a lower level dedicated theater. The setup I have now is already too much for my subdivision.
