MikeFord
The Heresy Is are 94db in regards to sensitivity. I've seen numbers a bit higher, like 96db, or is that watt vs 2.83v?
StephenM
96db with 1 watt @ 1 meter is the official figure. http://www.klipsch.com/heresy-floorstanding-speaker Either way, considerably more sensitive than average.

I think the newer H IIs were ~96db and the H III is 98 or 99db. I stand corrected; 96 db 1w/1m it is, for H Is.
Moderators dtel Posted September 1, 2011 Moderators Share Posted September 1, 2011 Hey dtel, what happen to your "runway model" girlfriend, I mean wife? That was only in my dreams, and it was both. [] She still reads here sometimes just don't post much, so I have to be somewhat careful what I say. [:$]
Rivernuggets
Great score Iron! Nice setup they're in too. Is this your first Reference purchase? Soooo many other models to explore within that family..... [H] Concerning sensitivity, doesn't 1 watt = 2.83 volts?
Ironsave
River, Yes, my first Reference purchase. They are a tad bright; but the PC EQ is handling that. They sound great with metal.... Like Promedias on HGH..... I definitely see the Reference charm and allure......I am impressed with the sound and the clean modern look. I will always love 3 way Heritage; but there is room for both; no doubt, I want RF7s now; of course.... lol
Dennie
Ahhh, Matthew? Are you buying MORE SPEAKERS...... I'm just messin' with you Man! Congratulations! [<)] I could not of passed on that deal either. Dennie
StephenM
Concerning sensitivity, doesn't 1 watt = 2.83 volts? At 8 ohms, yes. At 16 ohms, it is 0.5 watts. At 4 ohms, it is 2 watts. At 2 ohms, it is 4 watts.

Danzo
Just seen this, you stole them. The wife likes them, that's very good, break her in slow, eventually she will ignore any speaker you bring in, and these are NOT the last and you know it. Not that thats a bad thing, you just need to wear her down in case you drag up something BIG, you never know ? Wait to you hook them up to your HK, you will be happy. So there IS ss break in! Anyways, what is it with ladies digging tall and narrow speakers? This sure is a tendency worthwile investigating.. Grats on good deal Iron! Moderators dtel Posted September 2, 2011 Moderators Share Posted September 2, 2011 So there IS ss break in! Anyways, what is it with ladies digging tall and narrow speakers? This sure is a tendency worthwile investigating.. Grats on good deal Iron! Mostly just wife break in to new speakers, I hear at least, don't know first hand. If I had to guess, the simple answer is it's the shape they want to be. [] The bad part is my wife loves the MWM's which are short and fat, I sure hope that's not the shape she wants to be ! pite
Yep, that's right.... RF 52s for $70. Now; to be fair there is very minor warping at the bottom due to water, I believe. These things blow the Pro Medias they are replacing away! Nice find! Awesome... [H]
