my friends 20 year old herseys totaly blew them outta the water, both in volume and sound.

they also had some speakers for 40,000 dollars, but didnt get to listen to them.

not only that but they also carried some 70 grand speakers, but didnt get to listen to those either Frown.gif

eh i still dont think they could measure up to klipsch.

$40,000 for speakers? Pft.... What a crock. I would never pay that. BTW, where were you, Beverly Hills where everything is overpriced anyway? Where it's not cool if you didn't pay 100Xs to much for a something.

my cousin's home theater used to be made of all Martin Logan top of the line speakers. Total for the system was like $100,000 or more. but alas, his parents divorced and his dad moved to california with the system. were they Martin Logan electrostatic speakers?

i finally got to listen to some high end B&W's last week. A store in Ft Wayne,IN has the Nautilus Line. They had the Signature 800's which I was told they sold for $20,000. They were being powered by (2) $4,000 Classe amps. They were awesome! But not for the money!

JasN00b,

I just purchased an Infocus LP350 off a guy on Ebay for $2500 U.S. brand new in the box. I should receive it in about a week. I also purchased a Draper Premier 96" x 72" power screen. I should be getting that in a week or so also.

I'll let you know how the set-up is when I get it finished.

Even if the Heresys didnt sound better than the $40k speakers just imagine if you were comparing them to higher end Klipsch speaker like Cornwalls or Klipschorns Smile.gif.

Jas,

Why dont you take the parents credit card, get on ebay and buy one of the 3 or 4 pairs of good, used Heresys that are currently offered? You can pick up a pair for $350 I'm sure.

RebelPeon-the place is called AudioVideo Lifestyles. It's on the west side of Ft Wayne not far from 69

I went there because they carry Rotel. I didn't have time to look at everything. Saw those big B&Ws and had to listen! But would never think of spending that much for speakers,no matter how good they are!
