carlthess40 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Parts express has a sweet deal on a DIY subs, I've used a few of these units and they sound great http://www.parts-express.com/term/new_knock_down_subwoofer_cabinets They are great deals if you know how to put these things together and the sound is pretty damn good for the amount of cash Quote

Scrappydue Posted July 24, 2013 Author Posted July 24, 2013 Yeah crutch field has em for 399.00$ I found a few forums saying newegg had em like 10 months ago for 199.00!!! WOW Quote
Rhetor Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Scrap, you might look at the RW-12D at Newegg . . . Keeps dipping below $300 when you are setup on newegg auto email. Numerous threads on another site for it. I picked one up for my wife in her home office between a couple of La Scalas . . . She like some thump. Had it for six months . . . Should have bought two, one for for the shop. A great budget sub, looks and performs great. Just google Klipsch RW-12D sale and you will find the threads. A budget option to look at, and a fine little performer. Quote
colterphoto1 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Great work there guys. Those are what I use in my bedroom system. Had beautiful maple RB3's but these sound just great at the volumes I use for sleepy time muzak and look fantastic (and not imposing). Michael Quote
Scrappydue Posted July 24, 2013 Author Posted July 24, 2013 That's exactly why I wanted them. Smaller than rb-61, match my furniture, and 1/3 of the size. I'm extremely excited to have them. Just wanna find a small sub to help out the low end a bit. Can't decide to spend some money and get a nice one or just get something cheap cause it really won't be doing a ton of work anyways. Quote
willland Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 If you want a sub that packs a punch way beyond what it should have the capability to, check this pocket rocket out. http://kansascity.craigslist.org/ele/3951093941.html Probably more than you want to spend but these Sunfires are the real deal. Scrappydue Posted July 25, 2013 Author Posted July 25, 2013 Hey bill, what do you think is the value on that subwoofer? Quote
willland Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 They retail for $1000.00. A couple new on ebay fo $650.00, one used for $335.00. Maybe offer clist seller $400.00 for his. Quote
