mandm21405
I have a question for any forum member that may be intereted in answering. I have recently acquired (2) Klipschorns (consecutive serial #'s), (1) Cornwall II, and 2 (2) Heresy m700 (consecutive serial #'s) all with Cane Grills. I was told by Klipsch that they are all around the 67/68 year in production. All speakers are in great shape with the exception of a pretty large waterstain on the cane grill of one of the horns. Klipsch also told me they do not know where I can get more of this particular cane. Any leads on where I can maybe find some? My question is, as I am a only a Klipsch enthusiast and weekend audio warrior, what do I really have here in this set as far as worth, uniqueness, or even rarareity? I know they are really "cool" and sound absolutely amazing (don't have all 5 hooked up quite yet but have tested them). Excuse my naiveness or lack of knowledge but I am new to the audio world. I will try and post as many pics as I can. Thank you in advance for any comments. Can't seem to figure this pic thing out so I will keep trying. johnstms92
If that waterstain on the cane grills really bothers you, I'll gladly take those KHorns off your hands You've got a very exceptional system there and a beautiful set of Khorns. Good for you. Enjoy them!
Schu
why does that "cane" look so different than any other cane I have owned?
Budman
because its not cane
The Dude
Though its not cane, its still one of my fav. fabrics. I would try to hold on to them, I my self really only get the weekends to enjoy but still try to enjoy as much as I can. I think someone else around here has the same grill fabric but am not sure who.
BLSamuel
Junk. Junk is what they are... but being the nice guy I am I'll come take them off your hands up to 300 miles away or meet you half way up to 600 miles away and recycle them into something worthwhile. [] In all serious, what you have is one hell of a good start to 5.0 or 5.1 killer Klipsch surround sound system. For the Cornwall II center it could be improved by getting a LaScala or Belle I'd think or rebuilding the Cornwall as a Cornscala as I think either of those options would match the Khorns better. But I think the Heresy has the same puny midhorn as the Cornwall at least compared to Khorn, LaScala, or Belle, I also think the Heresy was originally designed by PWK as a center channel for 3 speaker stereo. So if the Heresy is good enough for PWK as a center, the Cornwall should be even better between the Khorns with Heresies as surrounds. Or two pair of speakers with Cornwall for possible center use, or mono, or sale / trade. [8][8][8][H][8][8][8]

mandm21405
My apologies again on lack of knowledge. i only called them "cane" because that is what I was told. It sounds like because they are not cane, I may have a better chance of finding replacement material. #9 or #15. Thanks again for all of your insight. Budman
no apologies needed. we all come here to learn about our speakers. the only grill cloth that i know of that you can get for the old and new heritage is the #17 black from critesspeakers.com
