WTB 5 or 7 channel amp

I would prefer a 200 watt amp. I am sliming down so this would be for the HT.

Jeff's NAD 925THX is the ticket. It is a great amp, I should know, I used to own

I have seen it and am thinking of just how much power I need.

And a quick side note, I noticed you've picked yourself up a Chase SS 18.2, how is that working for you so far?

I like the SS 18.2 since I have a large room to fill. I like the passive subs with the Berhinger I Nuke 3000 DSP. There is a ton of processing to help get the sub just right.

whats this amp gonna be for? got a new room coming along? or wanting a 5 channel for in your home theater to get rid of some of your other amps?

I already miss the Carver M 400. I am even considering selling the Yamaha M 80 if I can find something that also has a black floor. The Carver is possibly the strongest amp that I have owned even though it is rated at only 200 watts and the Yamaha is 250 watts. These amp have been stellar performers. I seen an Emo 3 channel for $500 but, a 5 or 7 channel amp makes more cents.

If I can't talk you into Jeff's NAD, maybe this will interest you.

Thats a great amp. Its basically my amp with out the xlr connects.

Edit, it also is a 5ch and mine is a 7ch but the power is the same and its great with the 7s.

Just to let you know, the NAD 925THX specs at "only" 125w/ch with all channels driven but from my experience with this amp, it performs like it has plenty of throttle left. It specs at 200w/ch in stereo.

Im not sure what the 5ch sell for. Bill might know

I have seen the 7250/7250 S2 sell from $600.00 to $800.00 on average.

The last five completed listings on Ebay are in order: $660, $500, $750, $499.

Maybe $800.00 plus shipping is not a great price.

No 7-channel 7270's sold in the last few months.
