holtrp
I have a regular OPPO and it runs hot. I wouldn't say discs are hot to the touch though. It has also started to take lots of time to load BD and intermittently the disc tray fails to open. I want to check into the firmware to make sure it is upgraded, but it might be about time for the 103. ClaudeJ1
Anyone with an OPPO. After playing a disc does it come out of the player warm to the touch ? Yes. But I got mine used so I don't know if that's normal wear or if it's always been that way.
willland
Anyone with an OPPO. After playing a disc does it come out of the player warm to the touch ? I have the regular BDP-83 and the discs are warm sometimes. My player has performed flawlessly with never a hint of any distress. With that said, it will be up for sale soon because I just picked up a Cambridge Audio 751BD universal player for a great price. Schu
warm yes... sometime pretty darn warm, but never what I would consider hot. you know, laser beam and all. I use the cheek test, if I can hold it on my cheek... then it's really not that hot. Edited January 14, 2014 by Schu
CHASLS2
I don't notice that with my two 83's.
