Hey guys, I'm trying to help a family member out and find out even a "rough" value for this lot of 190 Vintage CD's. I believe the music is from the 40's, 50's and 60's Era.

Some of the CD's are new, unopened.

Looking on Ebay, prices are all over the place. Some CD's I'm finding sold for $20.00, while others for $1.00.

Any help on a ballpark value of this lot? The top two are Multi-Disk Sets.

If a forum member is interested in them,

Most of them...

the pricing on CD's as a format have and will more than likely continue to fall. she may be able to ask for 2 bucks a piece but will more than likely have to fall back closer to that 1-1.25ea figure.

Thanks for the condolences Youthman but dad is still going, he just is no longer interested in music for some reason. Just gave up cold turkey

His longtime weekend music session Bob offed himself a few years back and willed pop's his C/D collection, poker set & chessboard.

One of those is the Harry James Band. He was in interesting fellow and actually was born to a circus couple. Father was the band leader and mom an acrobat. He was married to Betty Grable (they had two kids) and in 1939 gave Frank Sinatra his first singing gig with a "name band". Big bands cost big money to keep afloat and in 1946 he disbanded his big band group due to lack of income. Photo below is from his appearance on the Luci/Desi Comedy Hour. The guy also knew a lot about horses/horse racing and was a founding investor in the Atlantic City Race Course.
