Brac
This has been on the back burner for far too long. I built a pair of cross overs for my LaScala that I hardly ever use, then I was lending them to a friend to use at his wedding reception and I had no output from the woofer. Swapped x-overs and the problem followed. I'm not looking at it right now, but I'm sure the only thing between the input and the woofer is a coil. Can a new coil be bad? Can get a pic if needed. Deang
It's doubtful that a new coil would be shorted, but anything is possible. How is it connected to the barrier strip - you could have a bad connection.
Brac
All ends are crimped and or soldered. Here is a pic. http://i906.photobucket.com/albums/ac262/bracattack/DSC05413_zpsc38cbf63.jpg Edited May 20, 2014 by Brac
Arash
less chance for a dead inductor. I never witnessed one burnt or dead on a XOver. check the negative short straps on the terminals. more possibility for a dead woofer coil.

Arash, He stated that the problem followed the cross over when he changed it out. Roger
mustang guy
Check that the wires are all secure in the crimped connectors. The blue one on the right looks suspect.

wvu80
Check that the wires are all secure in the crimped connectors. The blue one on the right looks suspect. Agree. I use crimping, and it is on more than one connection I crimped the wire so tight I cut it in half, while the connection appeared intact.
