Gazoo1962
Hello. Last week I purchased the Icon SB-1 sound bar and wireless woofer. I think the sound bar is great, but I'm not very happy about the sub woofer. It doesn't have any punch at all, even while playing music. VERY Sad. Scrappydue
Well I was gonna say what did you expect from a cheapy sound bar/sub setup. HOWEVER, 600$ ain't cheap at all. That's a pretty high price category. You could always try a different sub? That kinda defeats the purpose of staying small and low budget though
K5SS
I'm surprised you didn't recommend that he build 4 18" DIY subs to go with his soundbar. Haha! Edited May 25, 2014 by K5SS
Moderators dtel Posted May 25, 2014 Moderators Share Posted May 25, 2014 I'm surprised you didn't recommend that he build 4 18" DIY subs to go with his soundbar. Haha! That would be silly, two would work !

oscarsear
You do realize that the sub has its own volume control? I have a friend with this same rig and there's no problems given its price range. And tuck that sub near a corner about 6 inches off the wall. Let it breathe.
Gazoo1962
Yes, it is properly seated in a good spot. My pro media 2.1 for my computer's woofer kicks the *** right out of the Icon SB1!

Dr Morbius
Interested in how this plays out. Just 4 hours ago I ordered a Klipsch sound bar from Crutchfield for my son's tv. I figure if it's Klipsch, it's gotta be good.
Dr Morbius
Btw, I paid $399 for it. Now that's a good price!
Gazoo1962
Btw, I paid $399 for it. Now that's a good price! That was a good price! Here in Canada I paid like $630 for the icon sb1, that was with bestbuy, they call it the iconduo. I just also ordered from the US via Ebay, a pair of R6 earbuds. Not available in Canada until July. Lets hope I didn't get ripped off. I don't know if Klipsch has any technicians in my area, Fredericton, N.B. Canada. I hope so, because the packing boxes are gone to the landfill. The speakers landed here on garbage day and when you have a mini home, there's not much room to store stuff. So I figured"hey, they are Klipsch, they'll be ok", and then tossed the boxes before the truck reached my house. I hope this isn't another string of bad luck for me Let us know how you make out. Audiodweeb
Is there a way to connect my Icon SC-1 system to my receiver to pair it with my other speakers, when I play vinyl?
