LeesburgMonkey
Good day my fellow HT forumnites, I'm in the process of completing my HT and I'm in need of thoughts, suggestions, etc. My question is, will a stage in front on my Klipsch KW-120's (4 total) cause any sound or vibration issues. The subs will be recessed in the wall and the stage placed against the wall. The stage will be free standing but secured with some form of clips. I want to do it right the first time and need your advise. I'll be using a 108 stewart filmscreen, 3 klipsch LCR KL-650's mounted above screen. See pics of rough wall area. Moderators Youthman Posted July 1, 2014 Moderators Share Posted July 1, 2014 I've seen most guys fill their stage with sand. This should help prevent movement or vibrations.

Scrappydue
I have seen it done with sand pretty much and then a lot of guys around here have built their risers to be bass traps and fill em with insulation. Great subs. I enjoyed my pair I had for the week I had them.

Scrappydue
3 klipsch LCR KL-650's mounted above screen are you not doing a false baffle wall?
LeesburgMonkey
Scrappydue, Pretty close to one but boxing the areas where subs being placed so that I don't have to build two walls.....this area of my basement was unfinished and the wall will serve box purposes as long as boxed in and drywalled (I hope) ....we'll see if inspector passes inspection. it may become one if not passable lol.
