i am currently running a ksw-15, and 2 rw12d's. while i like the sound now, they take up a whole lot of room. the 15 really is carrying 90 percent of the weight. id like to sell all of them, hopefully i can get upwards of 700 for all 3 subs. what recomendations do yall have for my rf7 system? room is 12x20x8 i sit about 10 feet from the speakers.

If $1000 is your maximum budget, I would pick up a PSA XV15se or a a Reaction Audio PV 15x. If you could bump the budget up to around $1,200, there are even better options out there.

I am going to agree with Scrappy though, DIY is probably your best bet with "stupid high listening levels" and a $1,000 budget.

AV123 and Epik sure did end up screwing a ton of people over but I have been following the Reaction Audio threads and it sounds like they have their stuff together, they are even offering free shipping.

PSA is offering a 45 day free trial with free shipping right now.

You forgot about Elemental designs, Ascendant Audio and I'm sure there's others. PSA I wouldn't be too worried about with their history with SVS. They know how to run an internet based business. HSU has been around a while also, they make a great product and have really good customer service.

Ugh I just wrote so much but my phone erased it all when I went away for the page for a minute.

So to sum it all up. Have a read here:

Go with the mini Marty flat pack vertical. Get an inuke 3000dsp. Get an si 18 at the pre order price right now. And you'll be right around 7-800. The amp will have enough juice down the road when you add a second as well. Unless you a build a horn sub yourself you WILL not find a better sub for the money.

Inuke 3000dsp-279 on amazon

Si 18 dual 4 ohm 162+25ish shipping

Mini marry vertical flat pack 250 delivered.

Either duratex of black paint to finish.

700-800 for a killer LOW tuned ported 18" sub.

this looks very promising. how much do those subs go for normally? what finish is on that one super shiny black enclosure?

yeah, i piss the old lady off that lives next me on a regular basis. when i listen to music, its normally sitting at around -7 or so. only reason i dont go higher is cause it starts to sound crappy. i have got to figure that one out too!

last time before they sold out there were going with free shipping but there were 239$

I'm guessing a hand rubbed high gloss back finish. very time consuming to do, but doable. watch some videos on it on youtube. if it interest you then go for it.

I'm wondering if you could use an amp then? i'm guessing you are talking about the 7ii's start to sound crappy? i'm betting they are starving for more power

im thinking it is my computer. i recently formatted the drive and reinstalled windows. it started to sound worse then. used hdmi sound, but optical sounds better, music with tons of bass (ie bass i love you) when super low frequencys hit then the tweets really start distorting. thought it was internal crossovers, but blu ray movies sound good. then again, i dont have that song on blu ray. it is a flac file that is 51mb large. i cant put my finger on what the problem is, wish there was some way at looking at the output sound waves to see if it is clipping or the hk is clipping. its really got me at my whits end.

i think i will go ahead and order two of the 18s then. i prolly only need one, but i am slightly ocd and 2 will look more uniform to me. i can build/buy the enclosures later and what not. i got a few people wanting subs already, but i hate to sell them cause in my opinion they sound like poop.

There is no reason for me to suggest anything after Scrappy has weighed in! The 18" with an Inuke will fit your budget nicely. Scrappy, is your MiniMarty build done yet? I always thought the best guy to consult when doing these projects is someone who had completed theirs a month or two before I begin.

Where to buy the Mini Marty Flat pack

As an alternative, I might suggest a flat pack from DIYsoundgroup. The CNC cut flatpacks are easy to assemble and the fit is precise. The guy (Erich) who sells this next flat pack (link below) is in the not-for-profit business, and the value from his products is beyond belief.

I haven't decided on anything yet still. My thoughts lately is who would I sell my sealed enclosures too without woofers? So lately I have been thinking of just buying another amp for now to give them more power and then possibly buying 4 more sealed enclosures and 4 more subs right now while they are cheap.

Bass I Love You can seriously damage your speakers if you are listening at reference levels, especially if they are not receiving a proper amount of clean power. Based off your signature, they are not..
