Dr Morbius
Is that a 2" throat?
moray james
Is that a 2" throat? no it is not a two inch throat. None of the Klipsch home gear has two inch throats they are all one inch or smaller. The diaphragm is two inches (nominal) that sometimes causes confusion. Drivers are generally described by their exit size so that people can quickly tell what size of horn they will fit on. Diaphragm diameters can vary and matching drivers to horns is what users really want to know most of the time. Hope this helps. Best regards Moray James. moray james
Does that use the same diaphragm material? Google would have been faster for you. Diaphragm is the same phenolic material. http://www.atlassound.com/compression-driver-40w-16ω http://www.atlassound.com/v/SupportFiles/772/ATS004136%20PD%20Series%20Datasheet%20RevA.pdf 1601 JACK MCKAY BLVD. moray james
How do these compare as to sound quality to the k55? I am not well versed in the details of all the versions but can tell you that the Klipsch k55 is built by and bought from Atlas. these are the real deal. Others can provide the finer points of the various models. Best regards Moray James.

fakesports
I purchased them through Bob Crites, who lists them as a drop in replacement for the K-55. They sounded excellent in my lascalas. And thank you Moray James for posting that information.
