Now that Reference Premiere is out of the bag, what happens to the biggest Reference II models?

Actually the first gen reference number is what didn't make any sense. The 3? 5? 7? 3 = 2 8" and a 1" horn. 5 = 2 8" and a 1.75" horn. 7 = 2 10" and a 1.75" horn. Then the RF-10? 2 4". lol

rf-5 had the same size horn as the rf-7 as in width and what not. Still had a 1" compression driver. Just so you know.

Why KLipsch do not make a bigger center (woofer about 8 -10 -12 inch), today alot of ID make Center is better (and better) than KL did (as JTR, Triad, PSA...).

I think Center has 2 big woofer is better than 4 small

The RC-7 was an 8" center.  I haven't done a listening comparison between the 64 II and the 7.  Some tend to believe that the RF-83's are just as good as the 7's (triple 8" vs. dual 10") - The principle there may potentially be the same as with center channels.  I've used quad-woofer center channels before, even much smaller ones than the RP-440C...and they hold their own pretty damn well.

Thus why I said it was a 1.75" horn, not mentioning the driver. :)

but it doesn't have a 1.75" horn. It has the same 8" horn but with a 1" throat. :)

I may be wrong but I was under the impression that the diaphragm of the compression driver is 1.75 inches the exit to the compression driver and the throat of the horn is 1 inch and the mouth of the horn is 8 inches. Owners please correct me if this is incorrect. Best regards Moray James.
