Hi

I have two rf10 black ref: rf10bk+07150010, the tweeters on both seems to not working at all.

1-could you confirm me that there is not any othe electronics inside wich could cause that the tweeters are not working, I just need to replace both.

2-where could I found this parts, good replacement one, but the cheaper of course.

here are photos of boths, I couldn't read the references printed on them..

Try calling Klipsch directly, they still carry some of the parts and they'd probably be along the same lines as Ebay with pricing. Maybe even better on the tweeters. They also may have a warranty attached to them where Ebay will need to have the protection added on them.

OP - Please check this first.  I've had jumpers loosen before (that's why I replaced them with 14 gauge wire).  Might try that and see if it solves your problem.

I think I have the jumpers in place, but it s not a stupid question, I will try to replaced them with 14 gauge wire first, and contact klipsch directly.

Thanks, I will keep you updated.

1. Not sure what else could be cause tweeters not to work.

2. Most smaller third generation Reference models used this K-131-AN

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-RB-25-K-131-AN-Replacement-Driver-/291058362714

It was used in the RB-15, RB-25, and RF-15. So I'm just guessing that's what the RF-10 is using.

this is exactly the one I found on Ebay, will wait klipsch answer, and see the price difference, thanks

Unless the speakers were recently purchased used, off having both go out at once.

Sorry I'm not english native, and I did not understand your answer..

Is it usual or not to have both dead at the same time?

thanks

Also, you look like a gangster from Grand Theft Auto V.   :P

I think he meant it would be odd having them both go at once.

Many times people expect more out of small speakers than they can do, particularly in the bass.  Cranking them up with a lot of bass and likely generating a fair amount of distortion that maybe you don't notice, will sometimes make the tweeters fry.  Even both around the same time.
