oscarsear
Long ago as a teen I worked all night long each Saturday preparing newspapers for early Sunday morning deliveries. Music was a constant companion. There was a most soulful tune, almost haunting a yearning about 'when a man loves a woman'. That song filled some need to understand that earnestness bound in the spring of youth. Its lyrics offered such a timeless message and now Percy is timeless himself.

DizRotus
If you haven't already seen it, watch the Muscle Shoals documentary. It's available on Netflix and probably other places also. Percy Sledge is featured in that excellent documentary. It's a sad day in Muscle Shoals , Alabama, and elsewhere in the music world. RIP Percy Sledge.

It's going to be a sad day when all that's left are beibers and mileys left as what's called talents.
