Breakdown7
SOLD! Okay guys, my wife and I are in the market to buy a home and recently put in an offer for a place slightly above our budget. In order to make things easier, I have decided to offer my beautiful McIntosh system for sale. It breaks my heart to sell this, but more important priorities are coming into the picture. This system is comprised of a MC240, C22 and MR71. All three units were treated to the "deluxe restoration" by Craig at NOS Valves, costing me over $1800 when also figuring the AudioClassics crates and shipping charges both ways. The restoration receipts will be included. All three units are in absolutely beautiful condition inside and out. The lettering is wonderful, and the glass faceplates are original. I have the tube cage and original manual for the MC240. I am including all the original parts which were replaced by Craig for all three units. The C22 comes with the 6 original Telefunken 12AX7 tubes. The MR71 also comes with all the original tubes, which tested great. The MC240 will come with a matched quad of GE 6L6GC output tubes. The MC240's input tubes are late 50's Mullard 12AU7's, RCA 12BH7's and JAN Philips 12AX7's. All three units will come shipped in an AudioClassics crate, fully insured for safe travel to their next home. There is way too much info and pics to list here, so anyone interested is more than welcome to PM me so we can speak over the phone, send more pics, etc. $7500 for the whole system. These pieces are only appreciating in value, so this is a wise investment. I have only put around 300 hours on the system since the restoration work was completed. SOLD! jimjimbo
Kidney's are a dime a dozen.....now, on the other hand, your aorta might bring the necessary funds..... Sorry, couldn't resist...back to the sale. Beautiful units. Edited April 25, 2015 by jimjimbo
Breakdown7
May I ask where you are located, and whether you are willing to separate the units? Located in Gainesville, FL. I may be willing to separate the units. However, I would like to give it a week or so and allow members a shot at this system as a whole. It would be a shame to break it up. opusk2k9
Great gear, I have a MC-240 and it is a very nice amp. Good luck with your sale.
Breakdown7
Although I would love to sell this system as a whole, breaking it up may be inevitable. Feel free to PM me with questions/interest about each unit in which you might have interest. They are all in equally wonderful condition. I was just listening to the system this morning with my Tyler Acoustics PD15's. The soundstage is huge guys. The system has to be heard to be truly appreciated. Anyone local to the north Florida area is always welcome to stop by for an audition.

NOSValves
Man I hate to see you sell this stuff. But with that said perspective buyer should know this stuff is pretty close to perfect considering the age...All 3 pieces are covered by a lifetime minimum cost transferable warranty (my productive lifetime). Truly a no worry purchase. The minimum cost is current $75 bench fee and all shipping costs replaced parts included (no tubes covered). The only hitch is you have to exhaust email and phone support prior to shipping it back. No stone was left unturned on these rebuilds.... The C22 is easily worth $4500 all on its own! Breakdown7
Yea I think this was an incredible deal for someone, and I already have sellers remorse. Oh well, such is life. Sale pending...
