Don Richard
We had some coons that got into our shop and settled in the attic. We used cage traps and relocated them after they were caught. We trapped one female that weighed about 30 pounds and barely fit in the cage. She reached through the cage and tore up anything she could get her claws on, there were cardboard scraps everywhere around the cage. A long pole was used to open the cage because we didn't want to be too close when she backed out of it. After she got out she ran into the woods and was out of sight in seconds.

Gilbert
Found one of these on my deck on the trail cam... About 15-years ago I found one on our porch that exhibited hostile intent towards me. I shot point-blank range in the torso with a 45 ACP Starfire. It had a body about the same girth as one of my thighs......it walked away slowly as if it didn't care. Stop leaving cat food on the porch, and he'll leave. But if he doesn't, I've got something for your coon...
