No Disc
Did a impulse purchase today. Traded in my old kg 1.2s on a Cherry finish RB-5 IIs. Breaking them in now, but initial thoughts are impressive. Much bigger sounding and strong in the mids than the older kgs. They match well with my Eico HF-81 and sound very detailed. These don't sound like a bookshelf speaker at all. More later after I've had a chance to break them in... ------------------ Two Channel System(s) Phono - None: Looking CD Player - Original Rega Planet EICO HF-81 Speaker(s) - Klipsch 1.2s, Kg4s Looking for nice Cornwall or Chorus II Tube Headphone AMP - ASL MG Head OTL ( 5751 -> EL-84 ) HeadPhones - Sennheiser HD-600 & Sennheiser HD-580 Home Theater Toshiba 57HX81, Yamaha 5790 Panasonic RP-91 DVD Toshiba DST-3000 Klipsch kg4 Fronts/Klipsch Academy Center/Klipsch kg2 Rears f> c> s> This message has been edited by tbabb on 08-17-2002 at 06:29 PM

I have been curious about what there rep is but I couldn't find anything much on the internet about them. Any info would be greatly appreciated! ------------------ -Trevor

atom
is the HF81 a good match with RB-5II comparing other tube gear? like DIY billie's 300B monoblock or other 1000$ 300B based tube? since it was said the 300B is the best match with klipsch. i have the RB-5, and think of getting a reasonable priced tube for it. where i can get it rebuilded it if i get one HF81 which doesn't work? since i have zero DIY ability on tubes.
