Paducah Home Theater
How hard is this? I've never done it before. Picked up some used KG 5.5's for stupid cheap but one tweeter is blown, hoping I can get away with not replacing the entire compression driver. I've watched a video and it looked more complicated than it does here. Just wondering if this is as straightforward as it looks here or are there some larger issues. http://www.critesspeakers.com/replacing_the_diaphragm_on_.html Edited December 3, 2015 by MetropolisLakeOutfitters
CECAA850
The ones you linked to are extremely easy to replace. The soldered ones like the K-55 are a little harder but can be done successfully if you take your time. I've done them both.
oldred
Replacing diaphragms is easy. Everything is lined up with pins. Once you do it you will understand just how easy it is. G.E.M

ricktate
Just make sure you clean the air gap out good and do it on a very clean surface. You can use a business card with tape [sticky side] out to get all the little crap out of the air gap. Oh and make sure no kids or wives are around to distract you.....lol Rick
