McIntosh Mac 1700 + Early Klipsch Cornwall Speakers - $1500 (Southington, CT)

My understanding is that they were made "mirrored" so that when the cabinets were positioned on their "side" so the horns would be horizontal when firing toward the listener and the tweeter horn would be highest off the floor.

 As such, one would be labelled "left" and the other one, "right". 

 

Your right, the mounting looks different. I am wondering how much DIYing was going on with these.

I was told to try mine with the tweeters on the outside and inside. I thought they imaged better with the tweeters out, so that would set the woofers in. Tweeters in would place the woofers out

If you lay them horizontally, the speaker on the left would go to the right and the right one on the left. That would place the tweeters high and out, and the woofers to the inside. And vice versa

Long winded explanation, It just depends how you like them. I would like to finish these :rolleyes:  :rolleyes:  :rolleyes:
