CECAA850
Mirror imaged pairs.Hmmmm? Verticals I don't recall seeing the drivers mounted like that before. Edited March 3, 2016 by CECAA850
stereohermit01
Yes I don't recall quit making them in mirror image pairs. Also they used to always mount the mids and tweets from behind the baffle. However it must also be mentioned I believe they would perform better , mounted as they are.
PrestonTom
My understanding is that they were made "mirrored" so that when the cabinets were positioned on their "side" so the horns would be horizontal when firing toward the listener and the tweeter horn would be highest off the floor. As such, one would be labelled "left" and the other one, "right". Your right, the mounting looks different. I am wondering how much DIYing was going on with these. stereohermit01
But even non mirror imaged, the horns would still be on top and horizontal they just both be in one direction. Would be interesting to see inside.

stereohermit01
Mirror image would put both woofers outboard. Non mirror imaged would put one woofer outboard, and one woofer inboard. Look at my old catalogs and see which way Klipsch produce them standby

ZEUS121996
These are my 73 Verticals which are still fir from finished Carl The drivers are mounted from the inside Mark Edited March 4, 2016 by ZEUS121996
ZEUS121996
I was told to try mine with the tweeters on the outside and inside. I thought they imaged better with the tweeters out, so that would set the woofers in. Tweeters in would place the woofers out If you lay them horizontally, the speaker on the left would go to the right and the right one on the left. That would place the tweeters high and out, and the woofers to the inside. And vice versa Long winded explanation, It just depends how you like them. I would like to finish these Mark

stereohermit01
By their own admission they didn't even observe polarity till 1958 although I'd have to search to find that document .
