LarryC
Fitz is a friend of mine. We went to see the Rach 3 piano concerto and Tchaikovsky's 4th last night at Strathmore in Bethesda. Edited March 18, 2016 by LarryC
Zen Traveler
Thank you for posting that and how awesome it must be to keep that caliber of company. He really bridged the gap in addressing Healthcare in this country between the moral and fiscal situation that exists. It's promising to see outreach and recruitment programs that create educational opportunities and jobs in a field where their 'customers' are getting older. The question "What is our goal in Medicine?" I agree with "raising the floor up" along with the natural progression that causes jobs not only in the medical field, but communities as well. It's going in the right direction but process need to be streamlined and fraud detection/price gouging in overall costs need to be addressed as well--Of course, that goes beyond the scope of the video. Good conversation to start.
Moderators Travis In Austin Posted March 19, 2016 Moderators Share Posted March 19, 2016 (edited) Awesome video. Now that would be a dinner I would really enjoy attending, one with the two of you discussing Tchaikovsky along with the subtle nuances of national medical education policy. LarryC
Better Tchaikovsky than Rachmaninoff ... Fitz has done a lot of work in med policy in Africa! He has a workforce numbers and distribution emphasis.

LarryC
It's been my great privilege to know him. Our common bond has been learning ever more about classical music. He has a great depth of knowledge and many well-known acquaintances in the worlds of social policy and academic medicine. He's a cancer survivor, and well-known in that field as well. As you could see in the video, he is a gifted leader and public speaker.
