DizRotus
Early bids are all but meaningless. The real value is often determined in the final 30 seconds. That's when the sniped bids hit the fan.
Bossman
I didn't know that Panasonic made a SX980 Yeah, Panasonic only made the SX980 for a couple years, then sold the rights and patent to Pioneer.

Makes sense. That let the 980 go with the rest of the Pioneer SX Series.

Panasonic has a reputation of inventing great products and then selling the copyrights to Pioneer.
Arrow#422
I bid them up to $296 for the sake of the seller & since I'm fairly close. I figured what the hell. Good for them being sold at…………..$380 wowsers
Woofers and Tweeters
Have to love the custom water marks. No telling how high they'd go with both badges.
jimjimbo
You bid them up for the sake of the seller....well, that's an interesting strategy.
Arrow#422
Like I said, what the hell. I'm close "enough" so if I'd have "won" those project cabinet speakers, I guess I'd have made the drive for some bass challenged, entry level, Heritage Hersey's. …………………….And then kicked myself for then owning them any longer than absolutely necessary. How's the Khorns treating you? They looked to be progressing quite nicely even though you may not even want to / care to hear my positive input.
teaman
I actually thought about bidding on those Heresies as well as they were an hour and a half away. Pairing them them with a couple subs instantly takes care of any bass disadvantage. Not sure why so many people let their speakers become plant stands...
Arrow#422
It may just be the convenience factor
