Starting an analogue listening thread

Because Klipsch and records go hand in hand I thought it would be appropriate for a dedicated record spinning thread

Time permitting I will work through my record collection one by one and post as I go with a nice photo

Hope all record ( darksiders ) tragic's will follow my lead and post on this new Vinyl / Record spinning thread

So to kick it off I will post one of the very first albums I purchased - and I had to order it

Artist - King Crimson

Album - Young Persons Guide

TT - Garrard 401

Stylus - Stanton 981 LZS

Tonearm - Transfi Terminator

Let the fun begin on the Darkside http://www.stereo.net.au/forums/uploads/emoticons/default_love.gif

I sleep all day, out all night

I know where you're goin'

I don't think that's actin' right

You don't think it's showin'

A jumpin' up, fallin' down

Don't misunderstand me

You don't think that I know your plan

What you tryin' to hand me?

Out all night, sleep all day

I know what you're doin'

If you're gonna act that way

I think there's trouble brewin'

Beat on the brat

Beat on the brat

Beat on the brat with a baseball bat

Oh yeah, oh yeah, uh-oh

Beat on the brat

Beat on the brat

Beat on the brat with a baseball bat

Oh yeah, oh yeah, uh-oh

Oh yeah, oh yeah, uh-oh

What can you do?

What can you do?

With a brat like that always on your back

What can you lose?

What can you do?

What can you do?

With a brat like that always on your back

What can you lose, lose?

Beat on the brat

Beat on the brat

Beat on the brat with a baseball bat

Oh yeah, oh yeah, uh-oh

Beat on the brat

Beat on the brat

Beat on the brat with a baseball bat

Oh yeah, oh yeah, uh-oh

Oh yeah, oh yeah, uh-oh

What can you lose?

What can you do?

What can you do?

With a brat like that always on your back

What can you lose, lose?

Well the kids are all hopped up and ready to go

They're ready to go now

They got their surfboards

And they're going to the Discotheque Au Go Go

But she just couldn't stay

She had to break away

Well New York City really has it all

Oh yeah, oh yeah.

Sheena is a punk rocker

Sheena is a punk rocker

Sheena is a punk rocker now.

Sheena is a punk rocker

Sheena is a punk rocker

Sheena is a punk rocker now.

Nice! @Klipsch104db

Analogue Productions made the absolute best sounding LPs I have with about two exceptions. Fagen's Nightfly 140gram and Claptons 1/2 speed Slowhand that I didn't know it was a half speed until way later! And an 461 Ocean Blvd original release that tells me mastering was at it's apex in the mid-1970s!!

talk about "soundstage" ? that one's GOT IT!

I have 4 Beach Boys mono albums from Analogue Productions. Surfer Girl is A+++.

Sound quality is a toss up. Vintage vs new. I like both. Like my audio equipment. A mix of vintage and new.

I played both albums a second time. The stereo is reversed. Is Reprise correct or UHQR correct?
