boa12
Eagles HFO dvd-video dts is a core holding for mix job & indoors. also, steely dan - two against nature dvd-video dts was done at sony studios in NY & sounds excellent. & santana-supernatural dvd-video dts. ac/dc - stiff upper lip dvd-video dts sounds excellent especially considering its outdoors at the Olympic Stadium in Munich. i also got the queen - night at the opera, dvd-audio which was the 1st to have dts 96/24 for dvd-video players. i think the sound is excellent, though I have only a dvd-video player & not dvd-audio. it also has the early video of bohemian rhapsody. believe one of the, if not the 1st, music videos made. ------------------ My Home Systems Page

kjohnsonhp
I saw "Diana Krall Live In Paris" today at a store playing through $14K+ KEF speakers w/KRELL electronics in 5.0 sound. I'm mostly a rock fan not jazz but really loved the sound & video footage. I think I'll buy the DVD. I also watched the 5th Element chapter 26 "Lucia di Lammermoor" on an RF7 7.1 theatre...opera turned pop SCI-FI...great voice..gooffy blue spaceman outfit. What a demo! MagnumMan
Agree on ELO, Fleetwood Mac, and Eagles. I will add: DVD: Tina Turner:Live in Amsterdam Scorpions: Moment of Glory (with Berlin Philharmonic) Rammstein: Live Aus Berlin DVD-Music from 5.1 Entertainment: Classic Rock (George Thorogood,Billy Idol,J. Geils Band, & others) DVD-Audio w/DD or DTS tracks for DVD-Video players: Metallica: The black album Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture (DTS) This will really show off your system! You get plenty of bass without subs! BUT, BEWARE THE CANNONS!!! When purchasing concert DVDs,I prefer DTS,they are usually done better. The only example of a DTS track that is bad is Alice Cooper's Brutally Live concert. It sounded like crap!! I don't what they did different, but it was terrible!
