I’m getting my first set of 1977 Cornwall’s!!

Recommended Posts

I had the option of getting a pair of the Forte ii or the Conrwalls in a trade, to much debate I decided on the Cornwall’s, Better  value in the long run and seems to be a better and louder speaker with more bass and not efficient. I hope I made the right choice going to do the trade tonight! Any thought me let me know thanks Tom

The Cornwalls are efficient...maybee you mis-spoke...they should satisfy your demands after playing around with smaller...go for it... of course... depending upon working condition not needing overhaul and value depending upon what you are trading...

Just a matter of time anyway when you're going to want a pair.  Of either one or both...

Haha ... good luck!  I will congratulate you AFTER you get them home :D

FYI, most people will recommend a capacitor overhaul.  But ... did it on mine (actually, got new boards from Bob Crites), but could NOT hear a difference.

Cheers, Emile

Add-on ... Actually liked my Forte's also ... but, was trying to use them as a bass bin with a K-510 horn ... did not work :(

Always rec   anymore that new owner listen for awhile before a refresh...also sometimes a seller may bot be aware if has been done anyway... always like that being able to listen to a difference. Some refresh right off the bat...

Good advise :D  I listened to mine for a while before I got new xovers last year. Haha; listened over 30 years as I got them new :D

I’ll be pushing them with my Luxman r115 hope that’s enough juice!

You've got 70wpc ... will be just fine :D  Using my Cornwall's as rear speakers with a 35wpc vintage Yamaha ... still will blow me out of the room :)
