Cut-Throat Posted November 12, 2002 Share Posted November 12, 2002 I find it strange that if you look at Speaker outlets such as Parts express that they sell scads of Tweeter horns from $10-$50 a piece. Yet when you try to buy a pair of tweeters for Klipsch Belle, La Scala, KHorn they don't have them and they offer a substitute for $200. Does anyone know why this nitch is not being filled? Al Klappenberger Posted November 14, 2002 Share Posted November 14, 2002 You can get the tweeter directly from Beyma of America. Phone is 516 616-9414. You will have to get the price from them. The CP25 requires different mounting but is 8 Ohms. You will have to do some cutting. You may also want to use an adjustable "L" pad. Al K. My Heresys were bought new in January of 1978 and are performing just as well as they did then...that makes them just shy of a quarter of a century old!! That place in Florida has them, I wonder if they're actual EV parts or something they're producing? $22, that's attractive, about what EV is asking, if they had them. k2dx Posted November 16, 2002 Share Posted November 16, 2002 The older tweeters and midranges were 16 0hms, EV units would be marked but Klipsch branded may just have a logo sticker. Great Plains has the tooling to make 16 ohm diaphgrams for the t35 if they don't have any in stock. EV doesn't supply them anymore. An eMail inquiry will get the info. As for what impedance you need, my crossovers are the old 500/5000 and they use 16 ohms. I am not able to say when Klipsch changed to 8 ohms. Maybe '65 or newer?
