pbphoto
Nice article on hearing vs listening with a shout-out to Klipsch. Not sure if there is a pay-wall, but i was able to see the whole thing. https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/music/story/2020-03-17/coronavirus-deep-listening-music-albums#null The best part is the 1959 picture of Clint Eastwood listening to a Barney Kessel album. Can anybody name those speakers in the corner? Or some of the gear on the floor?

juniper
Speakers are most likely Altec 604s. A lot of people had them, Sony execs for home playback, Barbara Striesand in her home sutdio, Frank Sinatra in his living room... I could go on and on....On the JBL forum one guy said its like owning a Ferrari....
pbphoto
Must be a bachelor pad. Gear is on the floor and the speaker is blocking the closet door. Priorities.

Edgar
Garrard turntable, just like the one my dad had. I think that's an Eico amp. Don't know about the tuner -- looks a bit like my dad's Heathkit.
