dodger
Help! My wife wants her dining room. I have 2 pair of LaScalas - one pair is for sale. Vintage Mid '70s. Reasonable, in Western, New York. First offer $775.00 + shipping or pickup, I don't like the way she's looking at them and at the window. Always home use, no P.A., McIntosh tube powered, no clipping or distortion. Oil filled caps, black grilles, bass horn, Birch Lacquered.
j-malotky
Im looking for a pair. What price are you asking? Got any pics you can post? JM
jt1stcav
Good luck, JM. Saw on dodger's other post he's from the Rochester NY area...If I was in the market for La Scalas (and I wish I was), I'd have my brother (from Niagara Falls) drive over to look them over. Oh well... Audible Nectar
JM, I know where there is a pair of black 2000 LaScalas within one hour of me, within 4 1/2 hours of you. I wasn't sure if you were after a specific color or vintage, but since you posted your interest I thought I would mention it.
j-malotky
DND I am looking for a pair for my church, so vintage is not that important. Color also is not important because if they need cabinet repairs, I will most likely repaint or refinish them to blend into the church decor. If you could, email or PM me info. Thanks, JM
m00n
All the La Scalas that I have seen are plywood, did they ever make them with some form of veneer on them?
dodger
One pair I have are Birch veneer. The other pair are also with with the small grill and the bass horn section is black. The outsides are are natural Birch

jtkinney
All LaScalas were made with Birch veneer plywood, which were then stained/painted. Mine are walnut oil stain. I saw the white ones on ebay, with painted horns and everything. Sombody went wild with a spray can!
