jazman
My copy of Saturday Night is just a single 6-Eye Mono. Was it issued both ways? Gary, The Blackhawk performances, I believe, were released as a single record "Friday" night, a single record "Saturday" night, and the two record "Friday and Saturday" night. I suggest you get In Person Friday and Saturday Night at the Blackhawk with "No" eyes if you can find it. Klipsch out.
garymd
I don't know Edmond. My Saturday Night In Person, Volume 2 Six Eye sounds pretty amazing! I've never heard a No-Eye that sounds better than a 2 or 6 Eye. I suppose I just need to find a copy of Friday Night and I'll be set. Allan Songer
This one was released as both single discs and as a 2-record set all at the same time. Mine was inner baggie sealed, mono and both discs are 6-eye deep-groove pressings. It sounds amazing.
garymd
I think the Columbia 2 and 6 Eyes are some of the finest records ever pressed. Doesn't matter what kind of music either. I have Simon & Garfunkel, Blood Sweat & Tears, loads of jazz & classical and they are all amazing. I opened a NOS copy of Brubeck's My Favorite Things a couple weeks ago and the sealed clear bag inside was still airtight after 40+ years! Allan Songer
I don't have that many Columbia records compared to a lot of other labels--sure, all the Miles stuff, some J J Johnson, some Jazz Messengers, some Monk, some Ray Bryant, some Mingus, a little bit of Brubeck (very little). Gee, I guess I DO have a lot of Columbia!! They seemed to have made a lot of money on Mitch Miller records judging by what you generally run across at ye old Salvation Army . . .
