WMcD
In another thread we wandered into the subject of room treatment. It seems best to set up a topic. Tonight I'm just going to upload files and perhaps later come back and use some HTML to get the photos into text. It seems best to get something basic done. There were two Dope from Hope on poly cylinders. Each referred to the same illustration. We have a limit on uploading files. So please see the below. WMcD
Sorry guys. I'm getting an error message on the other uploads. It is time to shut down for the night. I'll give it another try next week. Gil
ben.
Check out this cheap & easy bass trap. Haven't had time to try it myself, but.... http://ic.net/%7Ejtgale/diy2.htm
Frzninvt
I could not help but laugh a little at Dr. Boner's Poly Cylinder why did it have to the Dr. Boner. It could have been Richard Cranium, PHD or something. Sorry just being silly!
michael hurd
Gil, why don't you check out the thread " artto's klipschorn room " in the architectural forum. He is also an architect and can help you with suggestions on how to go about building diffusers and absorbers.
Lucky Leeroy
Dr. Cranium's middle name is Edward, I believe. They call him Dick Ed for short.
rockbobmel
I read somewhere about using 4' 12" cardboard "Sonotubes" (for concrete posts), cut in half lengthwise. These were used in churches, where bass is a BIG problem.

JBryan
I'm not sure if its been mentioned on the forum before but here's an interesting bass trap that isn't too difficult or expensive to build.... http://teresaudio.com/haven/traps/traps.html I'm gonna try it when I find a local source for the compressed fiberglass. Just another project on the list. Have fun -Bryan
Daddy Dee
Thanks Gil. I noticed there are quite a few of these in the Klipsch Museum in Hope.
j-malotky
Im sure Artto will be here soon..... Since the complete copy of the dope from hope circulating on this forum originally originated from Artto, including his handwriting in the margins, Im sure at some time he had these exact traps in his room at some time. His are from floor to ceiling attached to the same, with baffling material behind to dampen and keep the bend uniform. JM
