USually you see those made around smaller tubes and with not as much heat sink, looking less dramatic. I tell you one thing, that amp is a bit frightening to me. The whole thing is SCARY! I use them on my EL34s and 5AR4s on my MkIVs...pearl published a white paper on why the glass envelope can leak gas over time due to high temp and how these additionally damp the tubes. since I live in the tropics I want to keep my tubes as comfortable as possible, too bad they do not make anything for 2A3s or 5U4Gs...tony Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
